Looking at beauty in a new way, free from the familiar, we explore how hair can transform. Working with wigs, fringes and wefts is a delicate balance for any stylist.
For this shoot, I began by wig wrapping Anna’s hair and securing it with a La Charme Wig Cap. This created a stable, breathable base before applying the wig itself.
After thoroughly cleansing the wig, I secured it to a Canvas Wig Block using T-Pins, making sure to anchor it well especially at the crown to prevent slipping during cutting and styling. Proper anchoring is crucial to protect the wig and ensure precision.
I approached the cut just as I would on natural hair, using a YS Park Cool Razor fitted with a fresh blade for accuracy.
To maintain a natural look, I let the wig air dry, avoiding unnecessary volume.
It's a fine line stylists walk when using wigs, fringes or wefts. Number one rule, superior quality hair brings successful results if you want your finish to look natural.
A powerful detail that makes us stop and see things differently in a world that often looks the same. Hair becomes a tool for change and expression.
