W I T C H E R Y SS’14 Behind The Scenes

Here is an exclusive look into what went down behind the scenes and how to recreate the look for the Witchery SS14 show at Carriage Works, Sydney, Australia in conjunction with ghd.

For me, Witchery hair has to look lived in, uncontrived, undone, the very essence of cool. I still  wanted the hair to maintain an element of polish throughout the natural movement but keeping it understated gave it the edge it needed.

Hair – Alan White // ghd
Makeup – Kate Squire // Napoleon perdis
Styling  – Cat Scardino // Company 1
Production  – The Event Group

To recreate this look –

Step 1 – Prep damp hair with ghd total volume foam from roots to ends and comb through.
Step 2 – Create texture and volume with the ghd natural bristle radial brush while drying with the ghd aura hairdryer. Directing roots forward avoiding stretching hair thus maintaining natural movement.
Step 3 – Take vertical sections and glide the ghd eclipse from mid lengths to ends creating a soft natural movement.
Step 4 – Apply ghd smooth and finish serum to hair then brush with the ghd oval dressing brush to relax the overall look.
Step 5 – Place in a centre part and finger groom hair back into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck. Secure with elastic.
Step 6 – Texturise with fingers freeing hair around temples and neck, finish with ghd final fix hairspray.
