The Sheila Stotts Removal Brush is a professional detangling brush designed to make detangling natural hair and removing hair extensions easier, faster and more controlled.

Featuring 11 rows of anti-static metal pins, the brush glides through tangles without the pins sinking into the rubber cushion or catching on hair extension attachments. Its entirely synthetic construction also makes it suitable for use with the liquids commonly required during extension removal.

Designed with a drainage hole, the brush can be used on wet or dry hair, in the shower or at the shampoo bowl. Use it to detangle wet hair, distribute conditioner and gently massage the scalp.

About the Brush's Manufacturing Mark

You may notice a small mark at the top of your Sheila Stotts brush. This is a normal result of the manufacturing process, where the plastic handle is detached from its mould.

The appearance of this mark can vary from brush to brush. It is not a product defect and does not affect the strength, performance or integrity of the brush.

Recommended Brush Care

Daily Care

Remove hair and lint from the brush after use with your hands or a comb.

After using conditioner, gel, leave-in treatments or other products, rinse the brush thoroughly. Shake from side to side and remove excess water through the drainage hole.

Allow the brush to dry on a hard, flat surface with the pins facing downwards. This helps prevent residue from pooling on the rubber pad and helps keep the metal pins in good condition.

Deep Cleaning

The frequency of deep cleaning will depend on how often the brush is used and the amount of product it encounters.

For heavier product or hair-colour buildup:

  1. Rinse under warm water.
  2. Use a small amount of shampoo to clean the metal pins and rubber pad.
  3. If necessary, gently clean around the pins with a toothbrush.
  4. Rinse thoroughly.
  5. Shake from side to side and remove excess water through the drainage hole.
  6. Allow the brush to dry on a hard, flat surface with the pins facing downwards.

For professional use, a fine mist of alcohol may be applied and allowed to air dry or dried with a blow dryer.

Important — Do Not Use

Do not use UV light to sanitise the brush.

Do not soak the brush in Barbicide, Brush Delight or other acidic soaking solutions.

These methods may break down the rubber pad and compromise the brush.

Storage

Store the brush with the pins facing upwards and avoid placing objects on top of the pins or rubber pad.

When travelling with the brush in a handbag, backpack, professional kit or suitcase, make sure other items aren't pressing against the pins.

Although the Sheila Stotts Removal Brush is designed for professional use, prolonged pressure on the pins and pad can reduce its lifespan.
